Advancing Youth Leadership in Agrifood Systems: Next Impact Engages with FAO World Food Forum

Next Impact Learning Hub recently participated in the focal point exchange of the World Food Forum Youth Education Programme under the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), contributing to ongoing efforts to strengthen youth engagement in agrifood systems through education and applied learning.

At the heart of the discussion is the CultivatED initiative — a global, community-based learning framework designed to support students, particularly those under 18, in understanding agrifood systems and engaging with real-world challenges through action-oriented projects.

The programme connects global frameworks with localized implementation, enabling schools and educators to adapt learning across diverse contexts.

As part of this engagement, Next Impact will work across partner networks to connect schools, educators, and students, supporting localized implementation and contributing to the expansion of youth-led learning initiatives across different contexts.

Together, empower youth for a better food future!

Next Impact Engages 500+ Students Across 30+ Schools at Hong Kong MUN 2026, Advancing Youth Leadership and Global Dialogue

Next Impact Learning Hub was delighted to engage with over 500 student delegates from more than 30 schools at the 2026 edition of Hong Kong Model United Nations (HKMUN), one of the region’s leading platforms for youth dialogue and global affairs, with support from ITS Education Asia Foundation.

It was inspiring to witness the next generation tackling some of today’s most pressing global challenges — from refugee protection and human rights to environmental governance, disarmament, and international cooperation.

As part of this engagement, Next Impact contributed to conversations around youth leadership and the role of young people in shaping a more sustainable and interconnected world. The exchange created space for students to reflect beyond traditional Model UN formats, encouraging a deeper connection between global issues and personal responsibility.

As Dr. Jafar Javan, Chair of Next Impact Learning Hub, shared:
“Start small: care about issues, read and learn as much as you can. Team up with those who share your vision of a better world.”

We sincerely hope many of these students will continue their journey beyond the classroom — staying curious, engaged, and committed to making a positive impact, and turning that commitment into meaningful action.

At Next Impact Learning Hub, we look forward to working with ambitious students and partners on this path — connecting learning with real-world challenges and global opportunities, and supporting the next generation of leaders in creating lasting change.
